There's something about a locket ... a tiny hollow space made to hold a miniature treasure, a secret, a private memory, a lock of hair. They're high on the list of things new metalsmiths can't wait to try ... and also high on the list of things that intimidate them!

We're delighted to be welcoming Lynette Andreasen back to the studio for two different approaches to lockets. She'll cover how to make locket halves that actually fit together; how to create hinges that really work; and an accessible alternative to hinges that still ticks all the boxes that make lockets so special.

This is an intermediate class; students should have solid foundational fabrication skills including sawing, filing, soldering, and finishing.
