This workshop is being held live and in-person
at our Texas studio!

If you are just starting out as a beginner working in a home studio, this workshop is for you! Join resident metalsmith Francesca Watson for a next-steps project that brings together an entire toolbox of foundational skills. We'll revisit how to build a custom bezel setting, then design a unique ring with layers and embellishments, size the perfect band, and set a cabochon like a pro. Along the way, we'll discuss the properties of sterling silver; why flux is important and which ones work best for silver; how to get a professional finish on your piece; and much more.

And as an added bonus, you'll get 30 days access to recordings of all demos ... at no additional cost!

This workshop is the final project in our summer beginner series and is for advanced beginners who have taken our Simple Pendant workshop or have prior soldering experience. Absolutely everything necessary to complete the project is provided in this workshop – all tools, materials, and equipment! Bring a pen and notebook for note-taking and eye magnification if required, but otherwise just come and have fun!

A special word about materials fees in 2026:

The cost of silver is extremely volatile and higher than we have ever seen it. Accordingly, materials fees will not be posted until two to three weeks before the workshop date, based on the then-spot price of silver. Where possible, we will make use of alternative metals to keep costs down.
