If you have solid foundational skills and you're looking for an intriguing next-steps project, this is the class for you! Join resident metalsmith Francesca Watson for this intermediate project, where you'll use your soldering and sawing skills to design and create a unique, substantial sterling silver cuff. We’ll revisit the properties of sterling silver; why flux is important and which ones work best for silver; how to get a professional finish on your piece; and much more. Time permitting, we'll discuss options for adding an accent cabochon. And as an added bonus, you'll get 30 days access to the same videos our online participants will get... at no additional cost! 

This workshop intended for intermediate students who are comfortable soldering and using a jewelers saw. (Concerned about this? Call the studio or send us an email!) Absolutely everything necessary to complete the project is provided in this workshop – all tools, materials, and equipment! Bring a pen and notebook for note-taking and eye magnification if required, but otherwise just come and have fun!

Materials fee: $145
(taxable and payable in the workshop)

PLEASE NOTE: This kit fee is based on a 6" cuff, which is large enough for a 7" to 7-1/2" wrist size. Students requiring a larger cuff will be charged a pro-rated materials fee to account for the additional silver in the kit.
