Welcome to The Makery, the premier metals studio in South Central Texas! We're a safe and welcoming place where you can throw open the doors to the part of you that wants to learn new things, work with your hands, and join in community with other creative makers.
Our studio location is temporarily closed.
Early in the morning on Saturday, March 18th, we experienced a devastating fire at the studio, which claimed the life of our sweet shop cat, Sterling, and destroyed nearly everything in our end of the building.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are rebuilding in an old barn just up the road from our original location, but that process is going to take most of this summer. In the meantime, we continue to be active in our Facebook student group and our Heart of the Maker program, and will shortly be announcing a full summer schedule of online workshops.
